2024 Christmas Basket Ministry

The holidays are such a special time of year, and all of us want to provide our families with gifts and activities to mark the season. The families at Divine Savior Catholic Church have been partnering with families in our Orangevale community for over 21 years to help parents provide the items which make the season extra special. We know that it is tough enough to provide the essentials every month of the year, and trying to squeeze out additional celebration items can seem impossible.

 The sponsorship of a family includes donating all the foods for Christmas Dinner and a gift for each child in the household, and any necessary household items like paper products, sheets and towels, and extra food to help families save money during the holiday school break.  Frequently, parish families co-sponsor with others to complete the Christmas Basket in a way that is more affordable.  The 2023 event matched sponsors with over 100 Orangevale families, and made their Christmas celebration one to remember!  We partnered closely with Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank to help supply additional pantry foods and produce.  It was an amazing feat and we are grateful to all who made this possible!
