Want to Volunteer? Now taking signups for June 24'-May 25'
We encourage volunteers to join us in serving dignity, companionship and a warm meal when they have opportunities to do so. Before serving our guests, volunteers are asked to:
- Sign the Divine Savior and Diocese of Sacramento – Parish Volunteer Agreement Form.
- Be fingerprinted for background clearance.
- Complete the online, Diocese-sponsored, “Safe Haven” course.
- Complete the online CA Food Handlers certificate course.
- Volunteers are asked to commit to specific roles for a given week of the month, repeating monthly.

During Covid, we served pre-bagged meals at the Food Bank
Divine Savior Community Meal was not able to offer a sit-down indoor dinner as we have in the past. But we were not idle! We bagged meals to distribute to guests at the Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank, 6483 Main Ave., Orangevale. We served the last two Wednesdays of the month, from 4:30-6:30pm. Guests received a meal and food for their families for the week.
