"Love shatters the chains that keep us isolated and separate; in their place, it builds bridges. Love enables us to create one great family, where all of us can feel at home… Love exudes compassion and dignity”.
- Pope Francis
At our parish - all are welcome, all are worthy, all are loved.
No asterisks, no exceptions - just as Jesus would do.
Our Bridges ministry provides a nurturing environment for LGBTQ+ , and ALL family, friends, or those who have questions; providing education, social activities, affirmation and support for one another as we walk beside each other in this journey of life. We need bridges, not walls.
The primary focus of the ministry is to continue building a bridge between the LGBTQ community and the Church, and the love that binds us together.
Whether you are 16 or 96, come, join us and bring a friend. For more information, call or text elaine at (559)307-4216 or email elaine@divinesavior.com.
This ministry was formed to help improve the lives of those in our local community by providing a warm welcome, a good meal and companionship and to carry out Pope Francis' message that "The Catholic Church must strip itself of all vanity, arrogance and pride, and humbly serve the poorest in society."
When are the meals? Meals are hosted every Thursday Evening (except Thanksgiving) with dinner served from 6-6:45pm. Each meal is expected to need approximately 25 volunteers.

Some of these individuals reside in care facilities, some are in their own homes. Some are short term and others are long-term (assisted living, limited mobility).
