Last week, we had ADA electric door buttons installed on 3 doors in the church! These were made possible by Evelyn Crain, a long-time parishioner and Lay Salvatorian who passed away last year and included Divine Savior in her trust. Thank you Evelyn! This development honors Evelyn in a special way considering that she was a paraplegic caused by polio from the age of ten until her death at age seventy-two. The doors have stickers on them to identify them and are located by the St. Cecilia Room, by the big restrooms and in the main entry by the door closest to the office. Please note that these doors CAN NOT be propped open with a door jamb as it will damage the door mechanism.
“From that day they planned to put him to death” Every year, we go through a cycle of readings at Mass, focusing our Gospels on a different author. These cycles are simply called Years A, B, and C. During Year A we focus on the Gospel of Matthew. During Year B the Gospel of Mark, and Year C, the Gospel of Luke (with a good sprinkling of John thrown in). After Cycle C, we simply return to Cycle A.
