Sponsor A Basket ~ bring hope and light !

As all of us are keenly aware, 2024 continues to be a very challenging year for many reasons.  But we are people of HOPE AND LIGHT, and your help for this year's Christmas Basket Ministry is needed more than ever to rekindle hope and light in the lives of families less fortunate than yours.  You needn't  sponsor a family alone.  Consider joining with other family members, friends, neighbors, or work associates and share the joy and generosity. We have made some important changes and accommodations this year, so please read on...

All forms are done online!  This helps us minimize time lags with traditional paper methods.  Help is available for those who have no online or smartphone access.

 We have a dedicated team member whose role is to support Sponsor Families!  Brian Collier is available to help answer questions and clarify information JUST FOR SPONSORING FAMILIES AND ORGANIZATIONS!

 Third, this year we are asking sponsors to provide:

1. At least one clothing item for each child (please include gift receipts, and leave clothing UNWRAPPED)
 2. A gift(s) for each child, not to exceed a total of $50 for each child. (please include gift receipts, and leave gifts UNWRAPPED)
 3. Household items for the adults in the family (optional)
 4. Food for the family's Christmas Dinner (see bottom of this page)
5. Wrapping Paper, gift bags, tape

Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank will again supply and distribute all of the supplemental pantry-filler foods!  They have assured us that they will provide families with enough extra food for the two weeks of school lunch program downtime.

PLEASE, NO GIFT CARDS OR CASH or high-end items like bikes or electronics.  PLEASE INCLUDE GIFT RECEIPTS in an envelope marked as such.  In addition, household items for the adults are also appropriate (see list below).

 You will receive an email confirming your receiving family's wish list and including the code name for your basket.  Please watch for this family assignment after you apply, and check your spam folder.

DROP OFF : Christmas baskets MUST be dropped off at Divine Savior Parish Gym, 9079 Greenback Lane, Orangevale, on Saturday morning, December 21, 2024, between the hours of 8:00am and 10:00am.  A donation slip will be given to you for tax purposes.  Please do not enter the gym during the drop-off period, for everyone's safety.  Confidentiality of the names of both the sponsoring and receiving families will be safeguarded, with no exceptions.
